What began with Elsewedy Cables more than 30 years ago and became Elsewedy Electric, has transformed into a global, diversified company with more than 10,000 employees and 30 production facilities. We are one of the top Energy Solutions companies in Middle East and Africa operating in 8 diversified energy segments; Cables & Accessories, Electrical Products, Energy Measurement & Management, Transformers, Communications, Wind Energy Generation, Solar Energy Solutions, Projects & Development.

We’re proud of what we have achieved so far but recognize that there is much work to do to meet the aggressive goals we’ve set for ourselves. Elsewedy Electric has the capacity, and the will, to lead. We will continue to work and fight for those things that make the world a better place.

In 2008 we decided to invest in Qatar by establishing Doha Cables as a subsidiary of Elsewedy Electric. It is the first Cables Factory in Qatar that is built on an area of 70,200 m². Our planned production capacity of the factory is estimated to be a total of 40,000 Tons (copper) for the coming five years.

This move proved to be very successful as Qatar offers the business community a wide range of incentives, including subsidized or nominal rates for gas and electricity, no import duty on machinery, equipment and spare parts for industrial projects and many more that helped us to flourish in a very short time.
